For travelers with limited time, this journey gives you a "Taste of Vietnam", as you experience the highlights of Saigon, Hanoi and Halong Bay, all in 6 days. Marvel at the pace of change in youthful Saigon, come to understand the resilience of the Vietnamese people at Cu Chi Tunnels and relax amid the waterways of the Mekong Delta. Stay overnight aboard our boat on stunning Halong Bay, experience the color and activity of Hanoi's fascinating Old Quarter and see the famous water puppet performance.
Day 1: Welcome to Ho Chi Minh City (D)
Warmly welcomed on arrival at HCMC's Tan Son Nhat International airport by our guides and transferred to your hotel. At leisure. Welcome dinner at a chic restaurant. Overnight in Saigon.
Day 2: Saigon - Cu Chi Tunnel (B, L)
Visiting Saigon's best attractions. In the morning, you come to see the amazing Cu Chi tunnels. Cu Chi was an important base during the American War, because of its strategic location. The Vietcong built a 200km long network of tunnels connecting command posts, hospitals, shelter and weapon factories. Dug out of hard laterite by hand tools without the use of cement, this amazing network was never discovered by the enemy. A video of the tunnels is also shown.
In the afternoon, enjoy a city tour of Saigon - the largest of Vietnamese cities, with the hustle and bustle of Vietnamese life visible everywhere. There are street markets sidewalk cafes and sleek new bars. The city churns and bubbles, yet within this teeming metropolis are 300 years of timeless traditions and the beauty of an ancient culture. To the west of the city is District 5, the huge Chinese neighborhood called Cholon, which means "Big Market" but known as China Town. The wholesale market of Saigon, and the surrounding streets make up one of city's liveliest areas. Everything commonly eaten, worn or used by the average resident of Saigon is available here. The ornate Post Office, Opera House and Notre Dame Cathedral, built between 1877 and 1883, is set in the heart of Saigon's Government Quarter.

Day 3: Saigon - My Tho (Mekong Delta) - Saigon - Ha Noi (B, L)
After breakfast, we set out on an excursion to My Tho in the Mekong Delta. Enjoy a 2-hour scenic drive passing paddy fields and river tributaries. On arrival, board our private motorized boat for a river cruise on the upper part of thr Mekong River and taste of the agricultural life of the mighty Mekong River, Take a leisurely boat ride through the Bao Dinh natural canal which is bordered by rows of traditional stilt houses and fruit plantations. Visit the My Tho wholesale fruit market. Proceed to Tortoise island. Lunch served in the heart of the orchard. Enjoy a boat ride through the Tan Thach natural canal in Ben Tre, cruising under the shadows of the water coconut trees. Visit a family business which epitomizes the idyllic rural lifestyle. After trekking through the fruit plantation on Thoi Son island, enjoy a rowing boat ride along the creeks before returning to My Tho by motor boat. Drive back to Saigon and direct transfer to airport for a flight to Hanoi.

Day 4: Hanoi - Halong (B, L)
After breakfast, we transfer around 3.5 hours to Halong City with a break en route at local coffee shop. Arriving by noon at the quayside, we board on Junk to begin a cruise through the spectacular Halong Bay, stopping along the way to explore the limestone caves or just lazing about on the deck of our boat. Listed as a Unesco World Heritage site, Halong bay is one of Vietnam's most spectacular natural wonder. The tiny limestone islands are dotted with many beaches and grottoes created by the wind and the waves that provide an excellent backdrop for swimming. Lunch and dinner served on board.
Day 5: Halong - Hanoi (B, D)
Enjoy breakfast and continue your exploration of Halong Bay. At 11:00 am, disembark the junk and transfer back to Hanoi by road. Check in Hotel and then enjoy a walking tour around Hanoi Old Quarter with 1hour cyclo (cycle Rickshaw) ride around the city would be a nice experience!
This evening attend a traditional water puppet show, a uniquely northern Vietnamese art form especially designed for depicting senses of rural life as well as many episodes of national history.
Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 6: Departure (B)After breakfast, you will make a day city tour of charming capital Hanoi with ochre-colored colonial style buildings, tree-lined avenues and many lakes. Visit the Temple of Literature for an overview about Hanoi culture and history.
Free time until your transfer to the airport for your flight home.
