HIGHLIGHTS OF VIETNAM - 10 DAYS
The tour will take you to the most well known tourist sites in Vietnam highlighting the historical sites in different cities in Vietnam. It starts from peaceful Ha Noi to the hustle of Saigon city. From magical Ha Long Bay to the amazing Mekong Delta. From the amazing limestone karsts of Halong Bay to the ruins of the Purple Forbidden City, the Highlights of Vietnam Tour is perhaps the most comprehensive travel experience on offer anywhere in Vietnam.
Day 1: Welcome to Hanoi
Upon arrival, you are welcomed by our driver and tour guide. Transfer to hotel for check in. The rest of day is free at leisure.
Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 2: Hanoi - Full day city tour (B, L)After breakfast, you will make a full day city tour of charming capital Hanoi with ochre-colored colonial style buildings, tree-lined avenues and many lakes. Visit the Temple of Literature for an overview about Hanoi culture and history. Visit to Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, an imposing monument made of an impressive amount of marble and granite. This is where the preserved body of "Uncle Ho" lies in state. Then on to Ho Chi Minh Stilt House where he lived and worked during his presidency, the One-Pillar Pagoda in the form of a lotus, it emerges from the water and rests on a single stone pillar.
Having lunch at Cha Ca Restaurant.
Enjoy a walking tour around hanoi Old Quarter with 1-hour cyclo (cycle Rickshaw) ride around the city would be a nice experience!
This evening attend a traditional water puppet show, a uniquely northern Vietnamese art form especially designed for depicting senses of rural life as well as many episodes of national history.

NOTE: Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum is closed Mondays & Fridays and in October thru November.
Day 3: Ha Noi - Halong (B, L, D)After breakfast, we transfer around 3.5 hours to Halong City with a break en rout at local coffee shop. Arriving by noon at the quayside, we board on Junk to begin a cruise through the spectacular Halong Bay, stopping along the way to explore the limstone caves or just lazing about on the deck of our boat. Halong bay is one of Vietnam's most spectacular natural wonder. The tiny limestone islands are dotted with many beaches and grottoes created by the wind and the waves that provide an excellent backdrop for swimming. Lunch and dinner served on board. Overnight on board.
Day 4: Halong - Hanoi - Hue (B)Enjoy breakfast and continue your exploration of Halong Bay. At 11:00 am, disembark the junk and transfer back to Hanoi. Transfer to the airport for flight to Hue. Upon arrival, meet guide and transfer to hotel for check-in.

Day 5: Hue - Hoi An - Da Nang (B, L)After breakfast, we take a boat trip on the Huong River (Perfume River) to visit Thien Mu Pagoda with its seven-storey tower, Hue's most preserved religious monument, we continue for visits to the Imperial Citadel. Enjoy lunch at ancient Hue restaurant with special cuisine.
We return Hotel for chek-out and prepare to Da Nang. Pass of the Ocean Clouds - where one has a spectacular panoramic view of the central coastline from the summit. En route, stop for visit Cham museum, China Beach. Then proceed to Hoian, a former international trading port during the 17-18th century with an eclectic mix of western and eastern-influenced architecture. Check in your hotel.

Day 6: Hoian tour (B, L)In the morning, enjoy a walking tour of the ancient town centre. Visit the former merchants houses that were built in a combination of Vietnamese, Japanese and Chinese styles; the 400 years-old Japanese Covered Bridge constructed in 1593; Sa Huynh Museum located near the Japanese covered Bridge, which contains exhibits from the earliest period of Hoi An's history and the colorful market with its stalls brimming with tropical specialties. The market is a good place to buy silk, which can be fashioned into fine garments all within a day.

Day 7: Danang - Saigon - Cu Chi Tunnel (B, L)After breakfast, transfer to Danang Airport, take morning flight to Saigon. Upon arrival, meet guide and transfer to hotel for dropping off the luggage. Check-in time is 1400pm, early check-in is subject to availability. Then embark on a Cu Chi Tunnel. Cu Chi was an important base during the American War, because of its strategic location. The Vietcong built a 200km long network of tunnels connecting command posts, hospitals, shelter and weapon factories. Dug out of hard laterite by hand tools without the use of cement, this amazing network was never discovered by the enemy. A video of the tunnels is also shown.

Day 8: Saigon - Cai be (Mekong Delta) - Can Tho (B, L, D)Today, travel southwest to the Mekong Delta for a home-stay. Sit back and relax on a 3-hours journey enjoying the wide variety of life and scenery. As we leave the developing Saigon City behind we enter into the peaceful Delta. On arrival, board a private boat to explore the river life. Catch the hustle and bustle of the Cai Be floating market, where hundreds of boats filled with fruits, vegetables, and other products anchor along the river bank. We will proceed on to visit some of the local home industries ie: the making of Coconut Sweets wrapped in Rice Paper. We continue on the cruise to your lunch venue. We disembark the boat and take a 10 minute stroll along a village path to an ancient house where we have lunch and interact with the family members. Enjoy a lunch of Mekong Delta specialties. Then stroll around the orchard with your guide. We visit a bamboo basket weaving family and brick making factory, before we return to your Homestay where you will be spending the night. You have free time to go for a liter walk around the neighborhood if you wish. Together with the family members and your guide, you will prepare the dinner while chatting with them to grasp their daily life. The locals here get into bed very early; it's time to be back and settle yourself on your bunk. Mosquito nets and all bedding provided. Do not expect too much the standard! But it is interesting to lie in bed and hear the crickets, lizards, frogs doing their utmost to make more noise than everything else in the night.

Day 9: Mekong Delta to Saigon (B)After breakfast continue exploring the Mekong before a return to Saigon with a stop en route to see the colorful Cao Dai temple.
Overnight in Saigon.
Day 10: Airport transfers (B) After breakfast this morning have short tour to discover Saigon's historic landmark including the Post Office & Notre Dame Cathedral, a highlight tour of the former Presidential Palace & you'll begin the journey home by catch your international flight from Tan Son Nhat Airport.
